Syrian opposition claims control of State Media outlets as Assad reportedly flees capital

According to reports from Agence France-Presse (AFP), President Bashar al-Assad has allegedly left the country by aircraft early Sunday morning, departing from Damascus.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - The Syrian opposition announced on Sunday, December 8, 2024, that they have taken control of Syria's state radio and television broadcasting facilities. 

The opposition stated they would soon broadcast a message through the state television network.

According to reports from Agence France-Presse (AFP), President Bashar al-Assad has allegedly left the country by aircraft early Sunday morning, departing from Damascus.
