KRG predicts two days of rain, snow across Kurdistan

Erbil (Kurdistan24) – On Thursday, the Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) Ministry of Transportation announced that a wave of rain and snow originating from the Mediterranean Sea will reach Kurdistan late on Thursday, bringing noteworthy weather changes over the next two days.

According to the ministry's forecast, temperatures across the region are expected to drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.

The weather system will first influence the border areas of Duhok province this evening before spreading to other regions.

The ministry stated that skies will become cloudy, with rainfall increasing across the region. Moderate rain is anticipated in some areas, while heavy rain accompanied by lightning is expected in parts of Duhok province and the Raperin administration.

Wind speeds may also increase at times, adding to the storm's intensity.

Residents are recommended to prepare for wet and cold conditions, with authorities monitoring potential impacts from the weather system.
