Shooting at Baghdad's al-Esraa University leaves six injured

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Sunday, a shooting incident occurred at al-Esraa University in Baghdad, at approximately 12:00 PM local time, causing six injuries, according to Iraqi security sources.
The suspect, identified as a merchant living in Baghdad's al-Obeidi district and born in 2005, is not associated with the university as a student.
Security sources report that four university security guards sustained gunshot wounds to their chest and legs.
Additionally, a female student and the university's security supervisor were among those injured in the incident.
Initial reports had indicated that the violence stemmed from clashes between university students.
The gunman and another individual have been taken into custody, though the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
