ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Kurdistan Region Meteorological Department has issued a full 48-hour weather forecast, anticipating noteworthy meteorological changes across the region, with expectations of rainfall and falling temperatures.
For Friday, the forecast shows partly cloudy conditions transitioning to moderate cloud coverage by evening, with temperatures remaining noticeably low across the region.
As stated by the meteorological report, Saturday, Jan. 11, will witness changing cloud conditions, ranging from partial to full coverage.
Light precipitation is probable in numerous areas during the afternoon hours, increasing to moderate rainfall across multiple regions by nightfall.
The precipitation pattern will mostly affect Duhok and Sulaimani provinces, as well as the independent administrations of Soran and Raparin.
Light snowfall is expected in mountainous border regions, accompanied by a temperature decrease of 2-4 degrees Celsius.

Looking ahead to Monday, the Iraqi meteorological assessment implies potential fog formation in the Kurdistan Region, while central and southern regions may experience a slight temperature increase.
Tuesday's forecast indicates partly cloudy conditions, transitioning to full cloud coverage overnight in central and southern regions, with consistent cloud coverage across the Kurdistan Region maintaining temperature patterns similar to the previous day.
