PM Barzani Discusses Strengthening Ties with Bahraini Crown Prince at WEF 2025

The delegation expressed Bahrain's interest in enhancing relations with the Kurdistan Region across various sectors.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with a senior Bahraini delegation led by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on Tuesday during the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting.

Prime Minister Barzani shared on Facebook that the Bahraini delegation conveyed greetings from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain. The delegation expressed Bahrain's interest in enhancing relations with the Kurdistan Region across various sectors.

"I met Bahrain’s esteemed delegation, led by H.H. Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa. We discussed enhancing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for cooperation in finance, commerce, and other sectors," PM Barzani posted on his personal X account. 

In the meeting, PM Barzani thanked the Kingdom of Bahrain, particularly King Hamad, for their support and reiterated the Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) eagerness to strengthen bilateral relations.

Earlier that day, PM Barzani had separate meetings with Jan Lipavsky, the Czech Republic's Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Alexander De Croo, Prime Minister of Belgium, to discuss developing bilateral ties and enhancing economic cooperation.
