Oman eager to establish strong partnership with Kurdistan Region, says Oman's Ambassador

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – In a significant step toward enhancing economic and trade relations, Oman's Ambassador to Iraq, Mahmoud al-Kharusi, announced on Monday that Oman is eager to establish a strong partnership with the Kurdistan Region.

Speaking to Kurdistan24, Ambassador al-Kharusi revealed that discussions with Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani focused on bolstering trade and investment opportunities. As part of this initiative, a delegation of Omani investors, led by the President of the Omani Chamber of Commerce, is set to visit Erbil in the coming days to explore potential business ventures.

On the same day, Prime Minister Barzani warmly received a high-level Omani delegation headed by Qais Mohammed al-Yousef, Oman's Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion. The two sides emphasized the importance of strengthening diplomatic and economic ties, including plans to open an Omani Consulate General in Erbil in the near future.
