PM Barzani, Omani minister discuss strengthening ties, plan to open consulate

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani welcomed a high-level Omani delegation on Monday, led by Qais Mohammed al-Yousef, Oman's Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion. The discussions focused on expanding diplomatic and economic ties, with both sides highlighting the importance of opening an Omani Consulate General in Erbil in the near future, according to a statement from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

The meeting underscored the need to enhance cooperation in key sectors, including trade, industry, and investment. The Omani minister expressed his appreciation for the visit, reaffirming his country's commitment to strengthening relations with the Kurdistan Region.
