ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Visa Directorate of the Kurdistan Region’s Interior Ministry has denied recent social media claims regarding changes to the visa issuance process, calling them false and baseless.
In an official statement released on Thursday, the Visa Directorate confirmed that no modifications have been made to the current visa regulations, dismissing circulating rumors as misleading information with no official backing.
Visa Issuance Process Remains Unchanged
The Interior Ministry clarified that visitors and tourists can continue to apply for Kurdistan Region visas through the official Visit Portal at www.visit.gov.krd or via specialized visa applications as per standard procedures.
Additionally, citizens from countries listed under Category A can still obtain visas upon arrival at airports and international border crossings, without any new restrictions.
The ministry urged the public to rely on official sources for accurate information regarding visa policies and avoid being misled by unverified social media reports.
