Syria to hold national dialogue conference
The committee stated that it has documented more than 2,200 verbal contributions and received over 700 written submissions from various stakeholders.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Preparatory Committee for the National Dialogue Conference announced that invitations for participants from both inside and outside Syria will be sent out starting today, with the conference's venue to be determined at a later date.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, the committee emphasized that it has conducted over 30 meetings across all Syrian provinces as part of its preparations. These meetings aimed to ensure the representation of all components of Syrian society, with nearly 4,000 men and women participating in discussions.
Extensive Consultations and Diverse Contributions
The committee stated that it has documented more than 2,200 verbal contributions and received over 700 written submissions from various stakeholders.
It stressed that despite differing viewpoints, this diversity is a testament to the Syrians' ability to engage in dialogue and coexistence, contradicting the divisive narratives imposed by the former regime.
Highlighting the practical nature of the conference, the committee noted that the event will feature specialized workshops addressing key issues identified during consultations.
Each workshop will include experts, specialists, and stakeholders to ensure in-depth discussions and the development of viable solutions to Syria’s pressing challenges.
A Step Toward a New Syrian National Identity
According to the committee, the conference marks the first step in a long-term national process requiring collective and continuous efforts to establish a new Syrian national identity that preserves civil peace and fulfills the aspirations of the Syrian people.
No Direct Link Between Government Formation and the Conference
Responding to journalists' inquiries, committee spokesperson Hassan Al-Daghim clarified that while the formation of the transitional government is not directly tied to the conference, its recommendations and discussions will contribute to shaping future governance structures.
The committee reaffirmed that participant reception will begin tomorrow, signaling the official launch of a process aimed at fostering national dialogue and reconciliation in Syria.
