ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with U.S. Senator Tom Cotton on Wednesday in Washington, according to a statement from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties, with both sides stressing the importance of enhancing relations and establishing a strategic partnership between the Kurdistan Region and the United States.
Senator Cotton reaffirmed his continued support for the Kurdistan Region and expressed his commitment to encouraging American companies to invest in the region’s economy.
The two officials also discussed recent developments in Iraq and the broader Middle East region.
