ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – U.S. President Donald J. Trump announced on early Sunday that American forces had carried out what he described as a "very successful attack" on three nuclear sites inside Iran, naming Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan as the targets.

In a statement posted on his verified social media account, Trump confirmed that American warplanes dropped a full payload of bombs on the primary site, Fordow, and that all aircraft have now exited Iranian airspace and are returning safely.

“All planes are safely on their way home,” he wrote, congratulating U.S. forces by referring to them as “great American Warriors.”

Strategic Bombing Followed by a Call for Peace

Trump emphasized the operational efficiency of the mission, claiming, “There is not another military in the world that could have done this.” While declaring the strike a success, he also signaled a shift in tone by calling for de-escalation, stating: “NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”

The announcement comes amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing Israeli-Iranian hostilities. Trump’s post did not reference any Iranian response or casualties, nor did it indicate whether further military actions were planned.

The airstrikes mark a dramatic escalation in U.S. involvement in the conflict and come just hours after Secretary of State Marco Rubio reiterated that diplomacy remained Washington’s preferred course—if Iran ceased its nuclear activities.

As of now, there has been no official response from Tehran. Regional observers warn that the targeted attack on sensitive nuclear infrastructure could trigger a wider confrontation if not followed by immediate diplomatic efforts.
