ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Nine members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting two military bases in the central city of Yazd, the semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported on Sunday.

According to the report, several other IRGC personnel sustained injuries in the attack. The condition of the wounded has not been disclosed.

Earlier on Sunday, the Fars News Agency confirmed that Israeli forces had carried out strikes on military installations in Yazd. The assault marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, as tensions continue to rise across the region.

Iranian authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
