ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — HKN Energy Ltd. confirmed on Tuesday that an explosion occurred early in the morning at one of its production facilities in the Sarsang field in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, prompting a swift emergency response.
The incident took place at approximately 7:00 a.m. local time. According to a company statement, all personnel were safely evacuated, and no injuries have been reported.

"The cause of the incident is currently under investigation," HKN Energy said in a press release.
