Iraq’s Foreign Minister Arrives in New York to Attend International Conference on Palestine

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein arrived in New York on Sunday to participate in an international conference focused on the future of the Palestinian cause and related developments on the regional and international levels, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"The high-level gathering comes amid mounting challenges facing the Palestinian people, as regional tensions and humanitarian concerns continue to intensify," the statement wrote.
According to the ministry, Minister Hussein is expected to hold a series of meetings with his counterparts and international officials during the visit. These talks aim to coordinate joint efforts in support of the Palestinian cause and to strengthen the collective Arab and Islamic position within the United Nations framework.
"The conference is expected to draw broad participation from foreign ministers of UN member states as part of ongoing international efforts to uphold the rights of the Palestinian people and seek comprehensive and just solutions to the decades-long conflict," the statement concluded.
