ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iran’s military announced on Wednesday evening that it had launched a new wave of missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and United States military bases in the Gulf, escalating ongoing regional tensions.

In a statement, Iran’s central military command, Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said the strikes were aimed at Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv along the Mediterranean coast and Eilat on the Red Sea.

The statement also indicated that U.S. military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait were among the intended targets.

There was no immediate confirmation from Israeli or U.S. officials regarding direct hits or damage resulting from the attacks.

The announcement came just hours before U.S. President Donald Trump was expected to deliver a highly anticipated address on the state of the conflict.

The war, which began on February 28 with a wave of U.S.-Israeli strikes against Iran, has since triggered a series of retaliatory attacks and raised concerns about a broader regional escalation.
