President Barzani: Kurdish Question Must Be Solved Through Dialogue

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - President Masoud Barzani said Sunday that the Kurdish question in the Middle East should be addressed through peaceful means, dialogue and modern political methods, as he met German Member of Parliament Serdar Yüksel in Pirmam.
President Barzani received Yüksel on Aug. 9 and welcomed his success as a young Kurdish figure in Germany's political and parliamentary spheres, according to a statement from the Barzani Headquarters.
President Barzani used the meeting to reiterate his position on the approach to the Kurdish question, emphasizing what he described as the peaceful nature of the Kurdish liberation movement.
"The Kurdish question in the Middle East must be resolved through peaceful means, dialogue, and modern methods," President Barzani said.
His remarks placed dialogue at the center of his discussion with Yüksel, while the two also exchanged views on the political situation in the region, recent developments and the continuing threat posed by terrorism.

President Barzani also expressed his appreciation for Yüksel's achievements in Germany and welcomed his activities in political and parliamentary spheres.

He also highlighted the work of the Barzani Charity Foundation, particularly its humanitarian assistance to victims, internally displaced people and refugees.
The German lawmaker's comments provided a second dimension to the meeting, focusing on the Kurdistan Region's political experience and humanitarian activities alongside discussions of the Kurdish question.
