Putin Calls Russia’s War a Battle for the Country’s Future
The Russian president called for active participation by citizens and urged the country to apply wartime technological experience to both military and civilian development.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday that Russia is currently engaged in what he described as a decisive war to protect the country’s present and future, calling on citizens to play an active role in achieving what he characterized as a shared victory.
Speaking at the Forum of Strong Ideas for a New Era in Nizhny Novgorod on Friday, Putin emphasized the importance of individual participation in the country’s development.
“For the country to develop confidently and successfully, the participation of every individual is of tremendous importance, whether they are volunteers, employees of non-governmental organizations and social institutions, officials, engineers, workers or business owners,” Putin said.
Putin said Russia is working to protect its future and called for the technical experience gained by soldiers during what he referred to as the “special military operation” to be used in developing both military and civilian sectors.
He stressed that the state and society should create conditions allowing veterans returning from military operations to continue serving the country in economic, administrative and social fields.
“The flow of innovations and domestic technologies should cover all regions of Russia, from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok,” Putin said.
He added that projects presented by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives would become a new driver for the development of different regions across the country.
Putin also said the agency was working on a new version of an atlas of future civilian and military capabilities, aimed at mapping the country’s development prospects over the coming decades.
He instructed the agency to establish additional incentives for the private sector to invest in social projects.
Putin’s comments come as the Ukraine war continues, with Ukrainian attacks, supported by European countries, increasing against Russian facilities and military bases.
European countries, particularly France, have also openly stated their full support for Ukraine in the war against Russia, according to the information provided.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, meanwhile, said Russia understands that European countries are opposing Moscow to advance their interests and defeat Russia while providing Kyiv with financial and military support.
“Europeans’ actions are unacceptable, and they will pay the price for them in the future,” Lavrov said.
