UAE President Offers Condolences to President Barzani Over Death of Elder Brother
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan express condolences to President Masoud Barzani over the death of his elder brother
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan have sent messages of condolence to President Masoud Barzani following the death of his elder brother, Abdulwahid Ibrahim Sheikh Abdulsalam Barzani.
The UAE leaders expressed their sincere condolences and sympathy to Barzani over the death of Abdulwahid Barzani, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on Sunday.
Abdulwahid Barzani died on Friday. President Barzani announced his death, describing his late brother as a descendant of the prominent religious and national leader Sheikh Abdulsalam Barzani.
In his message, Barzani said his elder brother was known within the family for his religious devotion, piety, charitable character, and respected standing.
Condolences Held in Barzan
The first day of the mourning ceremony for Abdulwahid Barzani started on Sunday, Sep. 6. in the Barzan area.
President Barzani, Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, along with numerous government and party officials, are attending the mourning ceremony.
The UAE leadership’s condolences add to the messages of sympathy extended to the Barzani family following the death of Abdulwahid Barzani.
