The military is preparing for the possibility that the Houthis could launch ballistic missiles and drones from Yemen toward Israel.
According to Channel 13, Israeli concerns have increased over the possibility of the Houthis intensifying attacks on vessels off Yemen’s coast.
The channel reported that such an escalation could have a knock-on effect on maritime traffic and global trade.
The Israeli military is also assessing the impact of developments in Yemen on tensions between the United States and Iran, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz.
US President Donald Trump said Saturday during his visit to Dublin that Iran was likely behind an attack on Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline.
The latest Houthi attacks have increased concerns over a possible expansion of the regional confrontation and a broader return of tensions across the region.
Meanwhile, the military spokesperson for Yemen’s Ansar Allah, known as the Houthis, said the group had targeted a Saudi military base with drones and ballistic missiles.
The operation was described as a response to Saudi attacks.
On Sunday, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said on X that the attack targeted a base in Saudi Arabia’s Sharurah area, including weapons depots and command-and-control rooms.
Saree said the base serves as a center for managing the war against Yemen and its people.
The spokesperson did not specify when the operation took place but described the attack as successful.

The media center of Yemen’s armed forces said warplanes targeted Houthi positions in four districts: Al-Zahir, Dhi Na’im, Al-Sawadiyah and Mukayras.
The strikes targeted Houthi gatherings and fighters as well as military vehicles, a rocket-launching platform and a communications system belonging to the group.
Yemen’s armed forces said the attacks inflicted significant human and material losses on the Houthis.
A spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces said the air force targeted fighters and vehicles as part of ongoing operations against Houthi positions and movements in an area described as a “killing box.”
According to the military statement, warplanes carried out more than 20 strikes against dispersed targets across the four districts, making it one of the broadest waves of attacks in Bayhan during the latest escalation.
Bayhan’s location in central Yemen and its links to several other provinces and fronts give it military importance.
The nature of the targets, particularly the rocket-launching platform and communications system, indicated that the operations focused on the Houthis’ military capabilities alongside their field gatherings.

Another strike targeted and destroyed a tank near the mountain, while warplanes also targeted a rocket-launching platform in the Satin area of northern Taiz.
On the Kadha front in western Taiz, an airstrike targeted a Houthi military position in the Rahbah area. According to media reports, the strike killed several Houthi fighters and destroyed a military vehicle.
The latest developments come amid continued military operations by Yemen’s armed forces against Houthi positions and movements across several fronts, while Israel monitors the possibility of further Houthi attacks.
