Five Missiles Strike Areas in Kurdistan Region, No Casualties Reported

Kurdistan Region Security Agency says missiles struck Zargwezala and areas in Soran and Qaradagh districts early Monday

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Five missiles struck several areas of the Kurdistan Region at around 3:10 a.m. local time on Monday, the Kurdistan Region Security Agency (Assayish) said, reporting no casualties from the attacks.

According to the agency, three missiles struck Zargwezala, while another missile fell near the village of Gurgachia in the Sirwan district.

A fifth missile landed between the villages of Darizayn and Mirasiy Khwaru in the Qaradagh area, the agency said.

No casualties were reported as a result of the attacks.

The Kurdistan Region Security Agency urged residents to avoid approaching the affected areas following the strikes and warned them not to touch or handle missile or drone fragments and debris, citing concerns for their safety.

The agency did not identify the party responsible for the missile strikes in its statement.

The attacks came amid heightened regional tensions and continued missile and drone activity affecting parts of the Kurdistan Region.
