Prime Minister Barzani Stresses Peaceful Coexistence in Kurdistan Region
Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan Mor Nicodemos Sharaf, stressing peaceful coexistence among components.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Metropolitan Mor Nicodemos Daoud Matti Sharaf on Thursday. Sharaf heads the Syriac Orthodox community in the Kurdistan Region, Mosul and Kirkuk. The meeting reaffirmed a shared commitment to deepening peaceful coexistence among the Region's components.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the general situation of Christians in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and also stressing the need to further deepen peaceful coexistence among the components.
