On Wednesday evening, an explosion shook Huzairan neighborhood in Kirkuk. Brigadier General Sarhad Qadir, police chief of the towns and districts of Kirkuk, confirmed the blast was caused by a car bomb.
“The explosion wounded eight people, four of them policemen, and the rest were civilians,” said Qadir.

“Kirkuk has good security, but they have to strengthen the security belt around the province to make sure such explosions won’t happen again,” Ahmad emphasized.
