Masrour Barzani, Mohammed bin Zayed talk expanding UAE-Kurdistan ties

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Tuesday met with Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the United Arab Emirates capital.

The officials discussed ways to strengthen relations between the Kurdistan Region, as well as Iraq, and the UAE, the political process in Iraq following the Oct. 10 parliamentary election, and the latest developments in the wider region.

“I’m humbled by the warm hospitality and friendship of His Highness Crown Prince [Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan], and the Emirati people. There are so many opportunities to unlock in our partnership,” Prime Minister Barzani tweeted after the meeting.

Barzani arrived in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi Tuesday morning to discuss regional security with the gulf state's leadership and explore opportunities for economic cooperation.
