Kurdistan Region parliamentary election registration starts
IHEC sent out a formal request to the Kurdistan Region’s presidency regarding running the 6th round of parliamentary election in the Kurdistan Region on September 5, 2024.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Iraqi Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) reopens the registration on Saturday to all the political parties, coalitions and candidates who intent to participate in the 6th round of Kurdistan Region parliament election.
The procedure takes 6 days, starts today till June 13.
Last May, the IHEC’s spokesperson highlighted the electoral registration is open to all the parties and individuals who intend to participate in the Kurdistan Region parliamentary election 2024.
At the time, in a statement, she added “The Commission will engage with the Kurdistan Region to issue a decree setting a new date for the elections.”
