General Election in UK on Thursday
Many political parties’ members and ordinary people in the UK expected that Tories are probably on the brink of the largest landslide in the history in the UK.
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Millions of citizens attended polling station to cast their vote to the candidates on Thursday morning since 7:00 am. The political atmosphere was very much intense past few months in the UK, especially regarding getting the Conservatives off the government and to get replaced by a political party that is of the public rather than a few in the government.
The British broadcasting network intensively covered the debates and campaigns this summer, different shows and programs explained how it’s been hard for the British people, especially since Tories made the government and stayed for a quite long time at number 10.
It’s quite confusing and odd atmosphere all over the United Kingdom, the Labour political party’s members were not very hopeful with Sir Kier Starmer leading the campaign, on the other side the Conservatives believed the election 2024, perhaps, is the largest landslide in the Great Britain’s political history.
The famous broadcasting in the UK and around the world, BBC had set a Poll Aggregating at Wednesday night, to show the popularity of the political parties and specifically the two major competitive parties (Labour and Tory).
The Conservatives went down on 21%, Labour 39%, Reform 16%, Liberal Democrats 11%, Green Party 6%, SNP 3% in Scotland, Plaid Cymru 1% in Wales.
The interesting part was the survey by the YouGov AI revealed that 48% wanted the Tories out of Number 10.
The public is waiting eagerly for the Thursday night, as the voting results will be revealed.
