PM Barzani approves the establishment of medical college at Halabja University

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – In a significant development for the educational and healthcare sectors, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has approved the establishment of a medical college at Halabja University.
The decision, made in coordination with the ministries of higher education and health, marks a major step forward in expanding medical education in the region. As part of the initial phase, a budget of 500 million dinars has been allocated to support the college's opening.
Once the administrative procedures are completed, students are expected to begin their studies at the new medical college next year. This initiative aims to enhance medical training and healthcare services, contributing to the overall development of the Kurdistan Region.
Moreover, the Prime Minister on June 30 visited Halabja and laid the foundation stone for the Halabja Silo.
