Sulaimani pensioners getting notice

The instructions from the General Directorate of Pensions of the Ministry of Finance and Economy at the Kurdistan Regional Government, show that applications of granting lands can be obtained through those banks where pensioners received their salaries from.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Sulaimani Directorate of Pension gave pensioners a week to gain a code, if they don’t have one already. It’s understood that the code can be obtained from the biometric codes service according to the instructions are given to applicants.

The Finance Department at the Sulaimani Pension Directorate requested from those banks hand out pensions’ monthly salaries to pensioners who are within the province, to advise all the pensioners to visit the directorate in order to be given a biometric code, and the timeframe is only a week.

Getting the biometric code is one of the requirements enables one to fill out the application.

The process of handing over applications have already stared for the pensioners in the Kurdistan Region and will continue for two weeks.

According to statistics, out of 60,000 employees who were retired in Sulaimani province, almost 30,000 are entitled to fill out land acquisition applications. It’s understood that the rest either passed away or already benefited from some other forms of schemes i.e. were granted a piece of land.

The following conditions and guidelines for pensioners:

1. Only pensioners who are alive can fill in applications.

2. They must have not previously benefited from any of such schemes. 

3. The applicants should return their applications to the relevant pensioners’ office in the city and town.
