PM Masrour Barzani approves three crucial service projects in Halabja
The approved projects in Halabja are part of a broader set of decisions aimed at improving public services and infrastructure across Sulaimani, Halabja, and the independent administrations of Raparin and Garmian.
Erbil (Kurdistan 24) – Under the directive of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is set to implement three vital service projects in Halabja Governorate, as confirmed by Deputy Governor Kawa Ali Karim on Friday.
These projects, aimed at enhancing the quality of life and infrastructure in Halabja, include:
- Sewage System and Road Repairs: Implementing a crucial sewage project and repairing the road in front of Halabja Hospital, which was damaged during recent floods.
- Agriculture Directorate Building: Establishing a new building to house the General Directorate of Agriculture in Halabja, supporting the region's agricultural sector.
- Martyr Sarkar Police Station: Constructing the Martyr Sarkar Police Station, enhancing security and law enforcement capabilities in Halabja.

These initiatives follow Prime Minister Barzani's visit to Sulaimani and Halabja on June 30, 2024, during which he engaged with local officials and citizens, attentively listening to their concerns and needs.
In response, he pledged the KRG's dedication to serving the people and addressing their priorities.

- Allocating a percentage of revenues and increasing grants
- Opening a new office and formalizing the Sazan border gate

Raparin and Garmian Independent Administrations:
- Increasing expenses and financial grants
- Recruiting and filling vacancies
- Providing vehicles
- Resolving land disputes and allocating land to rightful owners in Kurdish regions
- Granting licenses for establishing gas stations
