PM Barzani, Jordanian Agriculture Minister meet, sign MoU to boost agricultural, food industry cooperation

The discussions centered on expanding collaboration in trade, agriculture, the food industry, and the marketing of agricultural products.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Sunday, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministries of Agriculture of the Kurdistan Region and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, focusing on enhancing cooperation and coordination in agriculture and the food industry.

The signing took place during a meeting between Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Jordanian Minister of Agriculture Khaled Musa al-Hanefat in Erbil.

The discussions centered on expanding collaboration in trade, agriculture, the food industry, and the marketing of agricultural products.

The Jordanian Minister al-Hanefat conveyed the greetings of H.E. King Abdullah of Jordan to Prime Minister Barzani, highlighting the enduring and strong relationship between the Kurdistan Region and Jordan.

He also praised the progress and prosperity witnessed in Erbil and the broader Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister Barzani expressed his gratitude for the ongoing support from H.E. King Abdullah, the Jordanian government, and the people of Jordan, who have stood by the Kurdistan Region through various challenges.

He also affirmed the Kurdistan Regional Government's readiness to strengthen bilateral relations further.

The memorandum, signed under the supervision of Prime Minister Barzani, marks a significant step forward in the partnership between the Kurdistan Region and Jordan, particularly in the fields of agriculture and the food industry.
