Candidates list auditing completed
"None of the candidates have been expelled from electing due to a bad or criminal record. The list was sent back to the commission and next procedures will follow this week," Imad Jamil stated

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – To investigate and approve the candidates list for the Kurdistan Parliamentary General Election that will be held in October this year completed and the next stage will follow.
The Head of the Press Team at the Independent High Election Commission IHEC, Emad Jamil stated to Kurdistan24 on Monday August 26th, 2024 “the auditing process on candidates list for the Kurdistan’s parliamentary general election has been performed by the Ministry of Interior, Kurdistan Region’s Integrity Commission and Iraqi Commission of Integrity”
He further underlined "None of the candidates have been expelled from electing due to a bad or criminal record. The list was sent back to the commission and next procedures will follow this week,"
Jamil highlighted that the next step is to print off the voting cards.
The IHEC earlier announced their supervise upon the sixth round of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Parliamentary General Election which will be held on October 20th, 2024.
It is estimated 2 million 899 thousand 878 people are entitled to vote in the Parliamentary general election, 2 million 683,618 are general voters and 215,960 are special who are civil servants’ forces.
