ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — On Monday, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) President Masoud Barzani welcomed Khaled Musa al-Henefat, the Minister of Agriculture of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, along with a delegation accompanying him, in Pirmam.
During the meeting, Minister al-Henefat delivered H.E. King Abdullah of Jordan's personal greetings to President Barzani.
Minister al-Henefat emphasized that the King, along with the Jordanian people and government, regard themselves as friends of the Kurdish people. He commended the remarkable recovery and progress that the Kurdistan Region has achieved in a relatively short span of time, despite facing numerous crises, problems, and obstacles.
Al-Henefat advocated for the expansion of bilateral relations across various sectors, with a particular focus on agriculture and reconstruction.
In response, President Barzani referred to King Abdullah of Jordan as a close friend and brother. He highlighted the historical ties between the Kurdistan Region and the Kingdom of Jordan, expressing his commitment to maintaining and strengthening these relations.
