British military delegates met with PM Barzani

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – According to a statement issued by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), a British military delegates led by Edward Ahlgren met with the Kurdistan Regional Government's Prime Minister on Wednesday.
Both sides agreed on the importance of continuing to support the Peshmerga forces to confront the threat of ISIS terrorists and terrorism.
In another topic, views were exchanged on the future of the mission of coalition forces in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. They stressed the need to continue to support the Peshmerga for the sake of security and stability in the Kurdistan Region.
As an integral part of the 86-member of Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, Britain has been assisting the Kurdish and Iraqi forces in the fight against the terror group, whose self-styled caliphate was brought down in 2017 in the country.
A number of Kurdish cadres have been provided opportunities by London to study at the UK’s Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, including two female Peshmerga officers.
