President Barzani and the British Government's Senior Political and Military Advisor, Admiral Edward Ahlgren discussed the coordination between the coalition forces and the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces and the issue of reforms within Peshmerga Ministry

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The British Defense Senior Advisor for the Middle East and North Africa Affairs, Admiral Edward Ahlgren welcomed by President Barzani on Thursday in his headquarter Salahaddin.

During their meeting, Peshmerga reform process, British support for the Peshmerga forces, were discussed.  

Exchanged views and discussion regarding the political and security as well as the latest expectation in Iraq and the region brought on. As well as the coordination between the coalition forces, the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces, also the reforms in the Peshmerga Ministry.

President Barzani thanked the British Government for its support to the Peshmerga forces fighting against ISIS, expressed his appreciation for the British support and steps taken assisting Ministry of Peshmerga as well as in the reform process within the ministry.

The matter of coalition forces stay, the ongoing threat of terrorism on Iraq and the region were other hub of the meeting.
