Turkish warplanes strike Asos Mountain in Sulaimani Province
Turkey frequently conducts military operations in the region, targeting suspected positions of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Turkish warplanes conducted airstrikes on the Asos Mountain near Galala village, Sulaimani province, twice on Wednesday, a local resident told Kurdistan 24.
Meanwhile, another strike hit the Sheikhan area, also in the Asos Mountain range, at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday. The village of Galala lies near the impact zone.
Kamran Hassan, Mayor of Mawat district, confirmed the attacks to Kurdistan 24, stating that there were no casualties as a result of the airstrikes.
