ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The former Harrods boss, the billionaire, who died last year at the aged 94 Mohamed al Fayed, accused of a series of sexual assaults and rapes.

Al-Fayed was accused of multiple rapes and sexual assaults by several women who worked for him, and many of them weren’t able to report what had happened until recently.

However, the luxury store, Harrods formally apologized to the victims and reaffirmed they were “utterly appalled by the allegations and that how al-Fayed’s victims had been failed”

The victims are represented by lawyers, they confirmed now they are representing 60 survivors, they have branded him “a monster”

The lawyers and BBC announced they have received messages around the world about al-Fayed's sexual abuse “dozens of women from across the world have accused late Harrods owner Mohamed Al-Fayed of sexual assault,”

It is even becoming likening the allegations to those against fallen figures like Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, also making semblance to Jeffrey Edward Epstein.

One of the victims said “al-Fayed was a monster, a sexual predator with no moral compass whatsoever,” adding to that “all the staff at Harrods were his playthings”

“He was vile,” Sophia stated to BBC Documentary show, she worked as his personal assistant from 1988 to 1991. She added “he tried to rape me more than once”

“We all watched each other walk through that door thinking, ‘you poor girl, it's you today’ and feeling utterly powerless to stop it,” Alice (not her real name) stated in documentary show that was broadcast on September 19th, 2024.

In the past, al-Fayed was taken to court for committing sexual assaults, he faced those claims while he was alive, but these allegations didn’t go ahead, and would have been rather unprecedented, the timeline of the sexual abuse allegations

The women who were interviewed by the BBC Documentary and Podcast Al-Fayed: Predator at Harrods, at the beginning of their work for the London luxury department store, revealed they had undergone medicals, including invasive sexual health tests, without their consent.

In the UK, by law Doctors should not share any information about a patient without their consent, and even in the circumstances when it is supposed to be disclosed to an employer it’s usually very restricted.
