ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – General Director of Agriculture in Erbil, Hemin Sayed Murad, stated to Kurdistan 24 online web page on Wednesday “several products are banned to import to Kurdistan Region, fresh potatoes, leafy vegetables, radishes, lachanas- large green leaves, turnips, swedes, cauliflower, spring onions, mushrooms” 

“Some of the products that come to the Kurdistan Region and have been taxed, including courgette (yellow and green), pumpkins, cucumber, onion, tomato, pepper, aubergines, watermelon and melon,” He added.

According to his statement, there is a request for exempting some crops products from taxation, the directorate office is trying to respond to the request, to give permission to exempt from the taxes.

For example, onions, in which a little volume left, the reason to avoid higher price on those crops which will be exempted from taxing.

Murad reassured there is a well monitoring on herbal and vegetable products.
