Iranian FM to visit Baghdad amid regional tensions

The agenda for the visit includes discussions on strengthening and expanding the economic and security relations between Tehran and Baghdad, as well as addressing the latest developments in the region.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to visit Baghdad today as part of a regional diplomatic tour.

The visit comes amid heightened tensions in the region, particularly following Israel's recent conflicts with Palestine and Lebanon.

According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei, Araghchi will lead a delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Iraqi capital and meet with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, as well as other senior Iraqi government officials.
