Spanish new Ambassador to Iraq, Alicia Rico Pérez del Pulgar officially visited Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani
HE Stressed in the meeting about strengthening and enhancing the relations between Kurdistan Region and Spain in various fields and respects.
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Kurdistan Region President, Nechirvan Barzani welcomed the new Spanish Ambassador to Iraq, Alicia Rico Perez del Pulgar, on Monday, in Erbil.
In addition to extending his congratulations to her on her new role as an ambassador, the Kurdistan Region President reaffirmed the full support to succeed her responsibilities towards the bilateral interests between the region and Spanish state.
HE Stressed in the meeting about strengthening and enhancing the relations between Kurdistan Region and Spain in various fields and respects.
From her side, Ms. Pulgar expressed her happiness with her new job role, highlighted that her country attaches a great importance to the relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
“Spain seeks to expand the joint cooperation between the two parties in all fields, especially in the areas of the bilateral interests” She further added
A fucus was made, in the session, on the latest significant event in the region, the successful parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan Region and results.
Furthermore, the relations between Erbil and Baghdad, latest unpleasant changes in the Middle East, the threats and risks the wider region is exposed to, as well as security and stability issues in the whole zone of Mid-East discussed in the meeting.
