KDP formed its dialogue team to start to negotiate with political parties
The team is expected to begin to visit the political parties and discuss the formation of the new government after the electoral appeals are resolved.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – After the election victory that the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) achieved in the parliamentary general election that was held on October 20th, 2024. It’s revealed a team for dialogue with the non-aligned political parties formed.
According to a source informed Kurdistan 24, the negotiating team is to discuss with the Kurdish political parties regarding the formation, agenda and policy by the of the next government.
The prominent leadership team is headed by Hoshyar Zebari, the KDP Political Bureau administrative body, as well as the Political Bureau member, Pshtiwan Sadq, Central Committee members Dlshad Shahab and Omed Sabah.
The team is expected to begin to visit the political parties and discuss the formation of the new government after the electoral appeals are resolved.
Those visits are likely to contribute to reach an agreement that will expedite the formation of the next government.
On Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, was the deadline to receive appeals related to the parliamentary general elections in Kurdistan Region.
With the number of submitted appeals reached 41, revealed in a statement by the spokesperson of the Independent High Electoral Commission, Jumana al-Ghalay.
In an interview Al-Ghalay stated to Kurdistan 24 “The appeals were distributed across the provinces of the Kurdistan Region as follows: (25) appeals in Sulaimani, (12) in Erbil, (1) in Halabja, and (3) in Dohuk”
Al-Ghalay also added "the Election Commission will work within 7 days to prepare the necessary responding to the appeals, to prepare to send them to a relevant judicial authority."
She further added that "the Judicial Body will make its decisions regarding the appeals within 10 working days, in accordance with the Election Commission Law No. 31 of 2019."
