Land granting scheme in Erbil municipality

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Head of Erbil municipality, Karzan Hadi sated to Kurdistan 24 on Tuesday “the draw will be held on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, to distribute 3.000 parts of lands to the applicants who have the entitlement,”
It is understood from the sources, the process will carry on like that until the following stage which another 2 thousand parts of lands are in the plan.
Earlier this week, the Head of Erbil municipality explained to Kurdistan 24 “the draw for the distribution of land to governmental employees and civil services in Erbil will begin soon and all the procedures have been completed”
The procedure started from October 16th, 2024, and the first area processed the order was Zakho Independent Administration in Kurdistan Region.

When the drawn is done and lands are offered based on the rules within the contract between the governmental services and the landlord then the applicant wouldn’t get the choice to choose the location.
The Point System, is the base condition in the offer by the government departments, for example years of service at a specific department or office, number of family members and place of residence.
