ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — A fire broke out on the road between Gwer district and within the Qalata Soran (Dubra) refinery, causing significant damage to a gasoline warehouse on Saturday, according to the Erbil Civil Defense Directorate.

The blaze, which engulfed a storage facility containing approximately 10,000 liters of gasoline, prompted a swift response from emergency teams. Five firefighting units from the Erbil Civil Defense arrived at the scene and successfully brought the fire under control within 20 minutes, preventing it from spreading to five nearby fuel warehouses, officials reported.

Despite the scale of the fire, no injuries were reported. The quick response and coordination among the firefighting teams were credited with averting what could have been a more extensive disaster.
