Final phase of population census begins in Kurdistan Region
The questionnaires are related to the demographic, social, economic, educational level and many other aspects.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The third stage of the population census which is known as the 77-question phase, has begun on Saturday, in Kurdistan Region.
"This process will continue for more than two weeks, our census teams will visit all families everywhere in Kurdistan Region, to collect the questionnaires required answers to the 77 questions" The Supervising Committee of the General Census said.
The questionnaires are related to the demographic, social, economic, educational level and many other aspects.
At least one family member needs to be present to answer the questions, and regarding the citizens of the Kurdish areas outside the Kurdistan Region Governmental authority, one family member per household is required to return to their hometown to answer those questions.
On November 20th, 2024, the general census process began in Kurdistan Region and Iraq, it continued until November 22nd, 2024, for this purpose, a curfew was declared in all parts of Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
In all cities and towns in Kurdistan Region and Iraq, citizens were obliged to be present when the teams visited their homes.
The process is still ongoing and the census teams will start the final phase of the census today, to obtain answers for the 77 questions about different aspects of each family.
