KDP, PUK to hold new talks to form KRG's tenth cabinet

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Mahmoud Muhammad, the spokesperson for the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), announced on Wednesday that the party will meet with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in the coming days to continue discussions on forming the Kurdistan Regional Government's tenth cabinet.
The announcement follows a meeting between delegations from both parties on Nov. 30 at the PUK's Political Bureau headquarters in Sulaimani. According to the PUK's Political Bureau, the talks were conducted in a “positive atmosphere,” with discussions focusing on strategies to promote the interests of the Kurdish people in the upcoming parliamentary term.
The dialogue reflects ongoing efforts by the KDP and PUK to strengthen cooperation and address challenges facing the Kurdistan Region. The two major Kurdish political parties have historically played central roles in shaping the region’s governance and fostering unity.
