Iraqi, Iranian, and Syrian Foreign Ministers to convene in Baghdad

A government source informed the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein will host the discussions alongside Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Syrian Foreign Minister Bassam al-Sabbagh.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The foreign ministers of Iraq, Iran, and Syria are set to hold a high-level meeting in Baghdad on Friday to discuss regional developments, with a particular focus on the situation in Syria. 

A government source informed the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein will host the discussions alongside Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Syrian Foreign Minister Bassam al-Sabbagh. 

"The meeting will address pressing issues in the region, especially the ongoing developments in Syria," the source said, underscoring the significance of the trilateral dialogue in fostering regional cooperation. 

The Syrian foreign minister arrived in Baghdad on Thursday evening, while his Iranian counterpart is expected to land in the Iraqi capital on Friday morning, the source confirmed. 

This diplomatic gathering highlights the three nations' efforts to engage in dialogue over key challenges affecting stability and security in the Middle East. Further details on the meeting's outcomes are expected following Friday's discussions.
