Pomegranate Festival is in Erbil

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – Pomegranate Festival will take place in Erbil and last for three days, the Erbil Governor, Omed Khoshnaw announced in a press conference, on Friday, that the Pomegranate Festival starts to open in Erbil, on Friday, in front of Shanadar, the theme park in Erbil.
"The festival will last for three days, farmers all over Kurdistan Region show their crops and products, a variety of food will be displayed, as well as honey" He added.
Khoshnaw gave further details "Kurdistan Regional Government has always equally supported farmers, encouraged them to increase the domestic production and to meet the domestic needs,".
He referred to holding annual festivals and outdoor events for different local products in Erbil, so this year's festival is called 'Pomegranate', however, other local products and honey will also be on display.
