"A new Syria must protect rights of all components, including Kurds", says Former SNC Leader
The former head of the Syrian National Council (SNC) also emphasized that within the new Syria, the rights of all components, in particular that of the Kurdish people, should be protected.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - In an interview with Kurdistan24 on Sunday, the former head of the Syrian National Council (SNC) Dr. Abdulbaset Sayda reiterated that “the new Syria will be different and all efforts will be taken so that the rights of no component are undermined.”
Describing the events in Syria and the fall of the Assad regime as “historical”, Sayda underscored the importance of the civilian role in toppling the regime.
“The next steps are crucial because the new Syria will be built within it,” he underlined.
The former head of the Syrian National Council (SNC) also emphasized that within the new Syria, the rights of all components, in particular that of the Kurdish people, should be protected.
“No one should be subjected to any form of oppression again,” he stated.
On Wednesday, Nov. 27, the Syrian opposition forces led by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and its allies, led a vast offensive against the Syrian Army. Following the control of Aleppo, Hama, Daraa, Suwayda, and Quentera, on the early mornings of Dec. 8, they entered Homs and Damascus.
This effectively resulted in the fall of the 24 years of Bashar al-Assad Regime.
