PM Masrour Barzani commends Kurdistan Women Union's role in revolution
The Prime Minister commended Women Union's influential history in the Kurdistan people's revolution, liberation and struggle

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – December 11th, 2024, is the 72nd anniversary for the establishment of the Kurdistan Women Union, the union is a disguised organization in Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), it has supported Peshmerga, participated in the Kurdish revolution and ran campaign to raise women's awareness on their rights and responsibilities.
The KDP Vice President and Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani congratulated the Kurdistan Women Union's Secretary, members of its Secretariat Bureau and all the Kurdish women.
In a congratulations message the KDP Vice President stated "I extend my congratulations to the Kurdistan Women Union's Secretary, members of its Secretariat Bureau and all the Kurdish women on the 72nd anniversary of the establishment of the Kurdistan Women Union, I wish them the continuous success and progress"
The Prime Minister commended Women Union's influential role in the history of the Kurdistan people's revolution of liberation and struggle “the Kurdistan Women Union has a history full of sovereignty, a prominent and influential participation in the revolution of liberation of the Kurdish people"
The Premier further added "it has been a school for educating many talented and female leaders, may they continue to fight for their union duty to defend women's rights in Kurdistan, and Kurdish people's rights and achievements, always carry on succeeding"
