SDF expresses concerns regarding security, stability in Syria

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) believed and announced in a statement, on Monday, December 16th, 2024, that the United States failed in its efforts to mediate a permanent ceasefire in the cities of Manbij and Kobanê.
SDF further highlighted that the lack of taking place a ceasefire is due the Turkey's attempt of refusing the main conditions within the permanent ceasefire agreement.
The ceasefire conditions consist of transferring of the fighters who remained in the Manbij Military Council, the civilian people who want to move to the peaceful areas in the northern and eastern of Syria, as well as resolving that issue is related to transferring the body of Suleiman Shah to the place of origin.
On another side, the Military Operations Department in Syria announced the end of the ceasefire between them and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) without reaching an inclusive agreement.
