ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Monday, the Kurdistan Regional Government's Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs announced that sadly a Peshmerga officer lost his life due to a legacy landmine explosion while on duty in the Amedi district.
According to the ministry's official statement, Mohammed Ahmed Mustafa, a member of the 1st Battalion of the 4th Infantry Brigade, was killed when he encountered an old landmine during his military duties at a checkpoint in the Kani Masi sub-district of Amedi.
