ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with Netherland’s Prime Minister Dick Schoof on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting to discuss strengthening bilateral ties.
In the meeting, the two leaders emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors.

A Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) statement, following the meeting highlighted that both sides recognized the need to uphold peace and stability in Syria and called for international support in forming an inclusive government that ensures the participation of all Syrian communities in the political and governance processes.
Since the start of WEF 2025 on Monday, Prime Minister Barzani has actively engaged with global leaders, discussing rapid developments in the political and security dynamics of the Middle East, which highlight the Kurdistan Region’s crucial role in maintaining regional peace and stability.
